Public Tours
Participants in scheduled public walks will be invited to buy tickets using Eventbrite or other trusted web service, and these are charged at a rate similar to the cost of other London public guided walking tours of 2 or 2.5 hour length, typically £10 to £15 per person. See my Public Tours Page for links to tours coming up. A huge amount of research undertaken over months and years goes into all the tours.
Occasionally, longer public tours may be offered which, naturally, may cost more.
Private Tours

No two tours are ever exactly the same and it may sometimes be possible to make minor modifications to the tours on my menu at no extra cost to take account of special interests if these are advised well in advance.
It helps me to know the following.
- How did you find out about me?
- Is it your first time in London or the seventeenth? I do not want to take you somewhere you already know.
- What are you interested in particularly? Are you already knowledgeable, or do you just want to become knowledgeable?
- If you have an itinerary what are the constraints on my tour, such as finishing in a certain place at a certain time?
- How many of you are there? If you are bringing children, how old are they and what interests them?
- Do you want me to take into consideration any special mobility or health issues for the tour?
Small groups of friends/family/non-profit clubs and societies
Typically £12.50 per person for a group of over 12 people for a 2 hour tour selected from my menu. Minimum charge £165. Add a few more people and the rate per person becomes less. A few less people and the rate will be a little higher. Tailor made tours also available. (Part of the cost is payable as a non-refundable deposit to secure the agreed date.)
Individuals and couples
Normally my minimum charge is £165 for a 2 hour tour selected from my menu (à la carte) but a set ‘dish of the day’ rate of £100 may be available for one person or a couple at certain times of the year if I am not busy, if I can repeat the tour in a short space of time, if I am developing a new tour, or for some other reason at my discretion. (Part of the cost is payable as a non-refundable deposit to secure the agreed date.)
Tailor made tours also available.
Companies, conferences and institutions
Minimum charge £250 for a 2 hour tour selected from my menu. (Part of this is payable in the form of a non-refundable deposit.)

Tips/Gratuities
A modest supplement will be charged for cemetery tours which will form a donation to the 'friends' of the cemetery for maintaining the graves and grounds. Similarly, many of London's museums are free to enter but still need an income to look after their extraordinary collections for posterity. So a donation is appropriate.

My tours are priced as low as possible for individuals in order to attract the widest range of interest - anyone from students and high school teachers to... more affluent clients - consistent with my being able to subsist financially in this line of business. My charges therefore cannot reflect the love and effort (many thousands of hours) that have gone into developing them. For these reasons tipping is never assumed or expected, but is always very much appreciated and helps ensure that these tours can continue.

Every tour is different. There is a lot to talk about in London so sometimes it is very easy to compile a tour for your special need. But also sometimes I need to do some more investigation which may cost extra.
